Ribbon Cutting for Big Brothers, Big Sisters

August 31, 2011

Yesterday, the Chamber Ambassadors enjoyed a nice Ribbon Cutting for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Alabama. Big Brothers, Big Sisters recently moved their office to 1400 Noble Street. Director, Valerie Shannon, had the ribbon cutting reception inside the United Methodist Church, where her new office is located. Thank you to Valerie for the great job she does helping with this agency.

Ribbon Cuttings are just one of the many events surrounding the Chamber of Commerce. Ribbon Cuttings are a great way to showcase and celebrate a new or relocated business. Through the event, the said business gains exposure with media coverage in the Chamber’s “Work Week” section of The Anniston Star and on The Chamber’s social media sites.  Through these various outlets and by the Ambassadors’ “word of mouth” promotions, the general public learns about the featured business.
