Double Dipped, Garlic Parm, Cajun, and More at Jefferson’s!

It all started in the Fall of 1991, when JSU alum Jeff Webb wanted to open a restaurant in Jacksonville, knowing a little about wings and beer. After selling a prized baseball card collection for financing, Jefferson’s took off and has become a franchise today, with locations as far away as Illinois and Kansas.
In November 2009, the franchise spread to Oxford, and as of August 1, 2013, now operated under new owners and operators. David Carulla was introduced to Jefferson’s by his brother, who owns the Brentwood, TN, location. After being involved in Jefferson’s for 4 years, in Albertville as of January 1, 2013, David was brought here. “I like the small town feel here; it’s different from big cities, nicer,” says David. “It’s very family oriented.”
David recommends the Double-Dipped Wings, similar to that of a dry rub, fried, shaken in the Turbo Hot Sauce and refried. The second fry takes out the heat, but keeps the flavor in a crispy finish. For Appetizers, David recommends the Bacon Cheese Fries but states the Fried Dill Pickles are the most popular. For a dessert, David says the Cookies’n Cream Pie is the best.
The popular items depend on the daily specials. Mondays are the Burger Special, Tuesdays are the Philly’s, Wednesday is Wing Day, Thursdays are Chicken Tenders, Fridays are Salads, Saturday’s special are Wraps, and on Sunday, Kids eat free with the purchase of an Adult Entrée.
