Authentic Mexican Food with Tex-Mex Flavor

December 12, 2013

DSCN1512Luis Gomez, new owner of Red Pepper Grill in Oxford, started in the restaurant business in 1976, worked his way up to management, and now, through partnerships and on his own, is serving up authentic Mexican food with a little Tex-Mex flavor from Atlanta to Oxford.
Luis says he was drawn to Oxford because it’s “a vibrant town, with perfect demographics, good for a restaurant, with retail, manufacturing and nearby schools and colleges.”
If he had to suggest a dish, Luis says he’d “go for the Texas Fajitas, grilled shrimp, steak and chicken with tomatoes, onions and bell peppers, served with rice and beans, salad and tortillas.” Throughout the week, Red Pepper Grill is serving up dinner and lunch specials including Fajita Monday Nights, DSCN1534Taco Tuesdays, and live music on the Patio on Friday and Saturday. Monday through Thursday, Red Pepper runs Margarita specials. Overall, Luis describes his food as “delicious and tasty” and invites everyone to come out and party with Red Pepper.
