Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center
April 14, 2014
is a 338 bed not-for-profit regional health center. RMC offers our patients personalized, top rated health care using the most sophisticated equipment and skilled staff that one might expect to receive only at a big city hospital.
RMC is the first hospital in the area to be approved by the Commission on Cancer, to develop a fully operational cardiovascular surgical team and to house such high tech equipment as the IMRT for cancer treatment planning. A Joint Commission accredited facility, RMC is positioned as a medical leader because of our investment in advanced technology, helping to diagnose and treat patients for over fifty years. The 185 physicians on RMC’s medical staff represent all major specialties. Over 1400 employees provide the human connection and caring spirit between technology and patient care.
Community involvement is important to the employees and physicians of RMC. We provide free health screenings and education on a variety of topics to those living in our five county service area. Prevention is the key to optimal health for the citizens of our community. Being a member of the Chamber of Commerce affords us the opportunity to connect with all of Calhoun County. Calhoun County is a fantastic place to live and to visit. RMC is proud to be a contributor to our community by providing health care of the highest caliber.
