I Am the Chamber… Amy Anderson
September 10, 2014
Amy Anderson serves as an Account Executive for the JSU Small Business Development Center, where she provides resources and small business counseling to regional businesses. When she joined the SBDC in May of 2012, she began working with the Chamber’s Small Business Committee. “Not only have I been able culminate great friendships with the Chamber staff and its members, but I have had the pleasure of collaborating with the Chamber to extend the JSU SBDC’s reach to local entrepreneurs and business owners,” states Amy.
Amy says, “As a representative of my employer and member of the Chamber’s Small Business Committee, I get to work with a great group of likeminded individuals to figure out what features and programs we can offer to best serve and assist our local businesses. This fulfills both organizations’ missions.”
Amy is also serving as an adjunct instructor for the JSU College of Commerce and Business Administration’s Finance, Economics and Accounting Department.
“Being an active Chamber member has facilitated a number of community involvement opportunities, which have given me the ability to represent the Center and educate the public on our services to help grow the local economy, with our resources and business counseling. As Dan Wieden once advised Nike executives, “Just do it.” Get involved! Becoming an active member of the Chamber not only provides opportunities to give back to the community and capitalize on significant member benefits, but it creates an opportunity for you to serve in local leadership roles which raise you and your business’ recognition, visibility and credibility,” states Amy. The SBDC is located in Merrill Building on the Campus of Jacksonville State University.
Thank you Amy for your continued support and involvement with the Chamber!
