Renew Our Rivers 2014
September 12, 2014
Thank you to the Renew Our Rivers 2014 team of volunteers!
There are not enough words to express how THANKFUL we are to each of you for your amazing support of Renew Our Rivers 2014 in Ohatchee this past Saturday! We had 123 volunteers cleaning up the waterways, highways, and causeways. Because of your dedication to our community, we cleaned up and removed over 1.4 TONS of debris! It would have taken months to accomplish what you all did in one morning!
Renew Our Rivers started 15 years ago with a single river cleanup event in Gadsden to a nationally recognized campaign that includes Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle, six river systems and brings together more than 10, 000 volunteers. Your efforts, combined with thousands of other volunteers, help improve the health and beauty of our river and watershed areas.
Mark your calendars for our H. Neely Henry Lake, Ohatchee Renew Our Rivers 2015 event – Saturday, August 29, 2015.
Thank you for choosing to make a difference for our local area. We all benefit from the work you did by having a cleaner community where we live, work and play.
