Are you aware of all the treasures here in Calhoun County? From historical sites at Janney Furnace in Ohatchee, to the Civil Rights Trail in Anniston, we have everything from the highest point in Alabama to up and coming world renowned bike trails. The word is out, and people are coming from across the world and United States to find adventure in Calhoun County. Whether interested in arts, outdoor activity like kayaking or biking, antiques, shopping and more, Calhoun County has it all. Accessible by train, I-20, major highways, a greyhound station and bike trails, it’s a short trip from everywhere.
With focuses on biking, performing arts, food, history, sports and more, Visit Calhoun County has also invested in advertising campaigns on Facebook as a first step to Social Media Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. We’ve also partnered with regional restaurants to promote the brand and capture visitor information and feedback.
Our Tourism Director and some of our local hotels and attractions are scheduled to attend regional EXPOs and Trade Shows throughout the southeast to promote our region. For 2015, we’ve also partnered with the Alabama Department of Tourism for state and national promotions.
