The Ambassador program consists of enthusiastic volunteers from the Chamber membership who donate their time to help build member commitment and raise community awareness of Chamber activities and benefits. The Ambassador program provides opportunities for you to connect with local business leaders and build lasting relationships. A high level of prestige and credibility is extended to yourself and your business through your involvement with this well respected goodwill group.
Mission: to promote general membership services and enhance goodwill for the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce with the highest degree of professionalism, knowledge, and integrity; mastering in Recruitment, Retention, and Referrals.
Community Improvement Committee
The Community Improvement Committee strives to improve our community in the sense of reducing environmental footprints and promoting beauty in the outside world of our businesses and industries.
Public Affairs Committee
The Public Affairs Committee researches issues, develops statements, and makes decisions known to elected and appointed officials.
The Chamber’s Public Affairs Committee’s purpose is to represent and be a proactive voice for the members and the overall business community with all levels of government in order to improve and sustain a positive business climate.
The Chamber’s Small Business Committee plans and implements small business seminars and helps organize small business activities like the Breakfast of Champions and the Small Business Awards Gala, and the Shop Local Campaigns.
The Chamber’s Small Business Committee works with the mission “to promote the growth, success and recognition of small businesses by promoting training, networking opportunities, and engaging public awareness.”
The Workforce Development Committee supports and implements programs, which enhance the quality of education in all local schools, and encourages the development of a job-ready workforce through ongoing programs between educators and the business community.
This program is designed “to prepare and build leadership resources within our entire county” with the class being comprised of leaders and emerging leaders. They receive an intense view of our civic and governmental leadership through direct contact with a wide spectrum of institutions that keep Calhoun County moving forward.
These monthly meetings are an opportunity for HR Professionals of local manufacturing companies to meet and discuss issues of common concern.
