Reasons to LOVE your Chamber
February 23, 2016
It’s February! As we’ve celebrated Valentine’s Day, we’d like to reflect on the different reasons we love the Chamber of Commerce.
Not only is the Chamber an advocate for Workforce Development and Education, it also provides its members with educational opportunities and content. From events, where we can hear from industry experts, to EXPOs connecting our educators with area professionals and businesses, the Chamber is a catalyst for education in the community.
Our Chamber hosts numerous events. From monthly networking opportunities to annual recognition opportunities, the Chamber understands the power of connection and recognizes, “people do business with people they know.” Together we can achieve more.
The Chamber harnesses our energies and passions to remind us why we love our communities and why we love what we do. From developing students about to enter the workforce through internships to career shadowing or volunteering with local non-profits, the chamber encompasses the many pulses running through our county.
The Chamber subtitle is “The Voice of Business.” The Chamber is an advocate for political issues affecting our businesses and industries. The Chamber strives to raise awareness through political forums and legislative agendas for our communities.
Our Chamber knows to stay relevant, we must stay ahead. From offering seminars on relevant issues to hosting updates on economic trends and professional development opportunities, the Chamber is on top of the latest trends and needs of our business community.
The Chamber is your number one resource of information. From events and area businesses to the visitors’ center and industry experts, the Chamber has a network of people and resources at our finger tips. If you have a question, just ask. We’re here to help.
The Chamber represents various industries, organizations, businesses large and small and individuals. There is something for everyone. We welcome everyone to join us. As Helen Keller once said, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
The Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce Mission is “to promote and sustain the economic growth of the Calhoun County Region, resulting in a community that is a dynamic place to work, visit and live.” We want to see our communities thrive, and we do just that, thanks to our members and our volunteers.
