Is your business set-up for success?
October 28, 2016
Starting a business can sometimes be overwhelming; after all, you are your own boss, secretary, etc. Often times, we aspire for long-term success, but we overlook how to sustain our growth. That’s why there is so much emphasis on tracking and managing your accounting during the early stages of business.
- Should you outsource it?
- What billing can be automated?
- Who should I call for help?
- Who can help me make financial and business decisions?
- What resources are available locally for small businesses?
You may be overwhelmed with these questions, but we are here to help. Join us Friday, November 4, from 8:30-10:00 A.M. at the Chamber of Commerce for our first Business Builder Series on Accounting. Our Small Business Committee is hosting these workshops to build up our small businesses and connect our community’s small businesses with resource in our area, including SCORE, Jacksonville State University’s Small Business Development Center, area Main Street Programs, and the East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission. On this day, we will be joined by area CPAs and Accountants to answer any questions and concerns you, as a small business owner, may have.
So far, our panel includes:
- Theresa Lackey of Lackey Inc.
- Philip Mallows of Mallows Accounting Services
- Gerald Pentecost, Jr. CPA
- And Tim Wilson of Warren Averett, LLC.
If you wish to join us for this free opportunity to learn more about small business accounting, please RSVP to (256)237-3536.
Hope to see you there!
