Since 1963, the United States has declared a National Small Business Week to recognize the contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners. For 14 years, the Chamber has celebrated and honored area small businesses for their contributions to the community at the Business Awards.
This year on May 11, we honor 21 businesses and organizations. The nominees Include: Young Entrepreneur of the Year

We will also award a sustaining business for Lifetime Achievement and the Larry K. Sylvester Small Business Advocate for 2017.
It is estimated that two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year are created by small businesses and that more than half of Americans either own or work for small businesses.
